Start a one or two
player game.
On the player select screen, press:

You should hear a confirming tone.
Pick your gunslinger, and you'll skip the initial stage.

On the Select Players screen hold Select and press:
A, A, A, A, B, B, B, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, A, and B.
Choose your character and the stage select screen will come up.
