THE
TRICKY 'LOCK OFF' CHEATS
This is a tricky one, as you only
have a limited time to input them. follow the easy steps below to unlock
the cheats.
1. Right at the start of the game, when you see the animated Infogrames
Logo, quickly press one of the button combos below (depending on which
version you own):
2. PAL version: Up, Down, Triangle, Circle, Up, Down, Triangle+Circle.
NTSC version: Up, Down, Circle
+ Triangle
3. If entered correctly the words 'lock off' will appear.
4. Enter one of the combinations below before the logo disappears,
making sure that you hold the buttons until
the screen fades out.
Unlimited time: Hold Left + L1.
You will see a message to confirm.
The race continues
in arcade mode even if the checkpoints are not crossed before
time expires.
Narrow tracks: Hold Left + L2.
You will see a message to confirm.
Eighteen narrow tracks
may now be selected.
These tracks are usually earned by completing
the arcade hard course under the Ace difficulty level.
Unlimited time and narrow tracks: Hold L1.
You will see a message to confirm.
Jeep and rollercoaster track:
This cheat is not available in the NTSC version
of the game
Hold Left + R1.
You will see a message to confirm.
A small Jeep will replace
the Peugeot 106 Maxi and a rollercoaster track will replace Sweden
track 1.
Restart race: Hold Left + R2.
You will see a message to confirm.
Allows an arcade mode
race to be restarted.
Debug mode: Press Left, Right.
Game debug information will
be displayed.
You will see a message to confirm.
Press Start to access a "Memory" option that displays
more information.
Unlock all cheats: Hold Left + R1 + R2 + L1 + L2.
You will see a message to confirm.
