COURSES
Choose
from three extra courses not normally found on the Race Select screen.
To race on the following courses, hold the specific buttons, then
press Start to race:
Golden
Gate Park: Hold the L Button, and also hold the C-Left and C-Down
buttons. Golden Gate Park will replace US 101. If you are having
trouble getting this to work, highlight US 101 before entering the
code.
Indiana:
Hold the L Button, and also hold the C-Up and C-Right buttons. Indiana
will replace Beverly Hills. If you are having trouble getting this to
work, highlight Beverly Hills before entering the code.
San
Francisco: Hold the L Button, and also hold the C-Right, and C-Down
buttons. San Francisco will now replace Grand Canyon. If you are
having trouble getting this to work, highlight the Grand Canyon before
entering the code.
NITRO
Use
this code for a nitrous boost! To activate this code, you must get the
fastest time on a track, enter your initials at the top of the
scoreboard, and then scroll down to the bottom of the board. Now, push
the control stick to the left until the head appears. Using any car in
any race, you can now activate the Nitro Boost by entering the
following sequence: Brake, Brake, Brake, Gas, Brake, Gas. You can only
use one Nitro Boost for each Checkpoint passed. The Nitro Boost is
great for getting up to speed quickly, but it won't add to the top end
speed of your vehicle and it only lasts for a few seconds. Note: You
can not get a Nitro blast before the first check point. You also can
accumulate the boosts. For every check point that you pass you will
get a boost. Depending on the number of check points you can get up to
three or four boosts per course.
FLASHING
LIGHTS
Make
the lights flash on the Police Car or on the School Bus. This does not
affect gameplay in any way. After you put your initials in on the
"Hot Times" screen, you can press either up or down to
scroll through the Hot Times. If you go all the way to the bottom to
where the metal rollers are and hold the Left direction on the Control
Stick for about 35 seconds, a face of one of the designers will make
an appearance and say "I love this job". After he says this,
when you are racing any course with either the Police Car or the
School Bus, if you press the Brake twice, then the Gas once, the
lights will flash for as long as you hold the Gas. As soon as you let
go, the lights go off. Do this as many times as you wish. Note: This
code will only work if you are using the Police Car or the School Bus.
It will not work with any other car.
SECRET
CARS
Choose
three extra cars to race with: the ATV, School Bus, or the Police Car.
When on the Car Select screen, if you hold the C-Left, C-Down, and
C-Up buttons, then move the Control Stick from car to car, you will
notice that the ATV, School Bus, and the Police Car are available
vehicles to race with.
