How to unlock the expert mode: To do this you must successfully complete the game. Now, when you start another game your opponents will be at an increased difficulty setting.
How to get the alternate ending: To view an alternate ending you need to successfully complete the game twice. 
How to get the best alternate ending: To view the best alternate ending you need to successfully complete the game three times.

HINT/PLAYING TIP
How to catch the 'purple blob' thing: Follow these steps on the Aquese level: 1. Keep your tractor beam on and stay near the top of the screen at the very start of the level. 2. Do not kill anything or catch anything in your tractor beam. 3. Do this and stay near the top, a little while after the first big ship appears. From the water you will catch a purple blob thing (the same shown if you complete the game under the easy difficulty setting).
